APP:
Reflective Statement:
When I was designing apps, my strategy was to put myself in the perspective of children and think about what problems they would have when they used adult apps. When you think from the perspective of a child, you can discover a lot of new ideas and you will know more about what the children need most. My priority area is how to make children really understand what the app wants to express, because most six-year-olds have just started elementary school and cannot read and write text proficiently. So I have to find a way to help them solve this problem, because text is the best way to communicate information with users.
Toy:
Reflective statement:
The strategy I used to design this toy is that I draw on paper whatever I think of at the beginning, and then get out of the predicament of having no idea. I selected three of my favourite designs and conducted an in-depth analysis, and then selected the best one that I thought was the best for prototyping. During the process of choosing which design will be the best to prototype, I prioritised the difficulty of modelling, so I tend to choose the one that is the easiest to model since I am very new and struggles to use rhino.
Space:
Reflective statement:
When completing this Design Sprint, the strategy I used was to remember where I was when I was a child, what I liked, and how I felt as much as possible. In the process, you can think of many things, such as your favourite movies, favourite places to go, and so on. And I will also record the inspiration that these memories bring me, and select those that are useful to me. My priority area is how easy it is to model a room, because I am not very proficient in the use of modelling, many complex scenes are difficult to make, and there is not enough time. So I mostly use square or straight lines to complete the room, nothing too fancy.
